Luverne tops A/E 10-7 in baseball; A/E golf team outshoots HL-O/F

Luverne 10, A/E 7
ADRIAN — A five-run third inning erased a 5-2 Adrian/Ellsworth lead, and the Luverne Cardinals defeated the Dragons 10-7 in a high school baseball game on Tuesday.
Braydon Ripka had three hits with a double and an RBI, Kaden Anderson had three hits, a double and an RBI, and Casey Sehr had two hits with a double and two RBIs for LHS.
Jacob Stroh was the winning pitcher.
Andy Rahe went 2-for-4 for Adrian/Ellsworth and drove in two runs.
Dawson Krahling took the loss.
Luverne out-hit A/E 10-7. The Dragons committed seven errors.
RRC/W-WG 12, Wabasso 3
WABASSO — Keaton Skarupa collected three hits as Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove kicked up its heels in a 12-3 win over Wabasso.
Cole Vande Wiele, Ashton Juhnke and Isaac Simonson all had two hits for the winners.
Golf
A/E at HL-O/F
FULDA — Taya Elias carded a 50, and Madeline Wagner and Josi Altman both shot 51 as the Adrian/Ellsworth girls golf team outscored Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 218-278.
Kelli Renneke had a 50 for the Coyotes.
In boys competition, A/E prevailed 185-192. Sawyer Drent of HL-O/F was medalist with a 39. Brock Henning with 43, Landyn Loosbrock with 45 and Logan Nogosek with 46 led A/E.
