Monday sports roundup: A/E boys trip H-LP

In Monday high school sports action, Adrian/Ellsworth got 15 points from Brock Henning in a 68-58 boys basketball victory over Harris-Lake Park.

Adrian/Ellsworth 68, Harris-Lake Park 58

ADRIAN -- Host Adrian/Ellsworth led by nine at halftime and won by 10 against Harris-Lake Park, Iowa.

Brock Henning scored 15 points and Peyton Lewis scored 14 for the Dragons. Dawson Krahling had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Aiden Tweet had seven assists to go with his seven points.

Lucas Ahrenstorff tallied 16 points for H-LP while Caleb Hemphill had 15 and Tyce Gunderson 10.

Harris-Lake Park 29 58

R-T-R 63, MCC 36

TYLER -- Drew Werkman scored 16 points to lead Russell-Tyler-Ruthton past Murray County Central.

Christian Tentinger had 12 points and three steals for MCC, and teammate Nate Kleven had eight points and five rebounds.

RRC 60, Cedar Mountain 40

LAMBERTON -- Joe Strock’s 23 points helped Red Rock Central top Cedar Mountain.

Ashton Juhnke added 11 points and Isaac Simonson 10 for the Falcons. Simonson had 13 rebounds and Strock had 10.

Brandon Pendleton scored 19 points for Cedar Mountain.

HL-O/Fulda 64, Adrian/Ellsworth 48

OKABENA -- Chrissy Hermeling and Taryn Evers combined for 37 points to pace Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda in a win over Adrian/Ellsworth. Hermeling scored 19 points (with five 3-point shots) and Evers had 18.

Anna Fest had 12 and Faith White 10.

For Adrian/Ellsworth, Sadie Krahling scored 15 points, Katie Buntjer had nine and Julia Bullerman had seven.

Pipestone Area 49, Edgerton 43

PIPESTONE -- Marli Taubert scored 16 points and Aubrea Kor had 13 for Pipestone Area, and Kayla Hubbling had 10 rebounds.

Reece Wassink helped Edgerton with 21 points, two blocks and eight rebounds. Teammate Mateya Gilbertson had 13 rebounds and two blocks.

Sleepy Eye 58, MLA/C 44

SLEEPY EYE -- Sleepy Eye trailed by a point at the half, but outscored Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 33-18 in the second half.

Kadence Hesse had 25 points and Brianna Martz 19 for Sleep Eye. Brooke Naas and Jaci Tollefson scored 22 and 14, respectively, for MLA/C.
