Boys basketball
HL-O/F 76, Adrian/Ellsworth 74
ADRIAN -- Brothers Sawyer and Carter Drent had big games for Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda in a boys basketball victory over Adrian/Ellsworth on Monday.
Sawyer scored 29 points, hitting on 11 of 23 field goal attempts. Carter was 10-for-19 from the field en route to a 27-point effort.

Parker Murphy added nine points to the HL-O/F total.
Not to be outdone, Peyton Lewis, who recently reached the 1,000-point career scoring club, finished with 38 points for Adrian/Ellsworth. He made 15 of 26 shots from the field and also connected on six of eight free throws.
Brock Henning scored 14 points for the Dragons.

Girls basketball
JCC 72, MLA/Comfrey 53
JACKSON -- Freshman Rylie Cother scored 33 points, while hitting on six 3-pointers, to lead Jackson County Central past Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey. Cother also had five steals.

Sadie Voss tallied 19 points with seven rebounds and four steals for JCC, which improved to 12-6 with the victory.
Brooke Naas scored her 1,000th career point for MLA/C, finishing with 22 points.

FULDA -- Four players scored in double figures for Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda in a win over Dawson-Boyd. Taryn Evers scored 18 points, Faith White had 12, Anna Fest 11 and Emily Madison 10.
Evers also had eight rebounds and four blocks. Fest had eight rebounds.
Kate Dahl and Ayianna Hastad had 14 points each for Dawson-Boyd.
