Powers shoots 38 for WHS golf team


HULL, Iowa — Logan Powers carded a 38 for medalist honors Monday in the Worthington Trojans' first high school golf meet of the season.
The Trojans lost the meet 166-178 to host Hull-Western Christian.
Worthington's Andrew Mulder shot a 46, Tyler Jaycox had a 45, Spencer Braaksma 49 and Waylon Crooks 73.
"Logan played a great round, hit the ball well and had a great short game," said his coach, Paul Barduson.
Leyton Roetman shot a round of 40 for Western Christian.
