SHAKOPEE — Victories were hard to come by for the Worthington High School boys tennis team in Shakopee Tuesday. The Trojans won just one match in a 6-1 first-round Section 2A team tournament loss.
Steven Adams and Matthew Becker got the win for WHS at No. 3 doubles. They defeated Shakopee's Caden Menning and Blake Hokanson in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.
At No. 1 singles, Otarhe Okoh bested Worthington's Alec Langerud 6-0, 6-1. At No. 2 singles, Anuj Priyadarshi won 6-1, 6-1 over Ian Barber. And at No. 3 singles, Owen Forsythe defeated Worthington's Ezra Bonnett 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Aman Priyadarshi and Luke Johnson beat the Trojans' Tyson Henkels and Quentin Burns 6-1. 6-0. In the No. 2 spot, it was Shakopee's Ajay Inampudi and Nicolas Lobato over Worthington's Jacob Ahrenstorff and Levi Kuhl 6-0, 6-1.
