Worthington 5th in True Team gymnastics

MELROSE — The Worthington Trojans high school gymnastics team placed a very solid fifth place Saturday in the 2022 state Class A True Team competition in Melrose.
In the prestigious event featuring the 10 highest ranked teams in Minnesota Class A, the top five scores on each event are included in the team total. No individual scores are kept.
Worthington placed fifth overall with a total of 174.2 points.
Watertown-Mayer/Mound-Westonka won the event with 180.025, followed by Mankato West with 178.550. Big Lake was third with 178.050, and Melrose was fourth at 176.325. Teams 6 through 10 were New London-Spicer 172.450, Becker 170.200, New Ulm 166.950, Perham 166.325 and Detroit Lakes 162.575.
