JACKSON – New Prague placed first at the Jackson County Central Sweetheart Invitational on Saturday with a team score of 145.425.
The Worthington Trojans placed second with a score of 141.5. Luverne placed third with a team score of 134.425. Seven teams in total competed at the tournament, and hosting JCC placed fifth with a score of 132.675.
The top all-around gymnast was New Prague’s Ava Bruegger with a score of 37.5. Junior Hali Bullerman placed second in the all-around with a score of 36.05 for Worthington. Third place in the all-around was Luverne’s Ella Reisdorfer with a score of 35.45.
Worthington’s Cristy Banegas placed fourth in the all-around with a score of 35.025, and Olivia Barber placed fifth with a score of 34.9.
The top four vault scores went to New Prague. Susie Daslin placed first with a 9.575, Bruegger placed second with a score of 9.525, Ella Barsness scored 9.5, and Hannah Kraft scored 9.4.

Bullerman tied for fourth with a score of 9.4, and Banegas took fifth with a score of 9.25.
Bruegger placed first on the uneven parallel bars event with a score of 9.325. Jadyn Klein from New Prague took second with a score of 9.25, and Ava Barsness scored 9.15.
Bullerman placed fifth with a score of 8.6, and Banegas took eighth with a score of 8.4.
Bruegger took top spot on the beam with a score of 9.1. Olivia Barber placed second for WHS with a score of 9.05. Luverne’s Amira Cowell placed third with a score of 9.025.
Bruegger had the high score on the floor routine with a 9.55. Worthington Trojans’ Addison Gerber placed second with a score of 9.425, and Bullerman placed third with her score of 9.3. WHS junior Barber placed fifth with a score of 9.25.
