WORTHINGTON -- A reception sponsored by Sanford Health, Worthington High School and Minnesota West Community and Technical College for local athletic trainer Joel Krekelberg, who recently was awarded the Fred Zamberletti Award for 2018, will be held at the Center for Health and Fitness on the West campus in Worthington Wednesday (May 9) from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Krekelberg received the Zamberletti Award -- named for the legendary trainer of the Minnesota Vikings -- on April 29 at U.S. Bank Stadium during the 11th Annual Minnesota Football Honors program.

A Worthington native, Krekelberg is a former trainer with the Houston Oilers and has worked locally for decades serving the training needs of Worthington athletes.
