Section high school baseball tournaments got under way around the area on Saturday. Here's a rundown on what happened:
South Section 3A
Top-seeded Wabasso was upset by fourth-seeded Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove in the second round of the South Section 3A tournament, by a 4-3 score. In another second-round game, sixth-seeded Adrian/Ellsworth, which defeated third-seeded Minneota 6-1 in the first round, beat Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (2) 8-2.
Quinten Wolf had two hits and scored two runs for Adrian/Ellsworth against Minneota, and pitcher Dawson Krahling threw seven complete innings. In the R-T-R game, the Dragons' Marshall Wagner went 4-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored. Evan Lenz was the winning pitcher, throwing seven complete.
In other first-round games, Wabasso edged No. 9 Lakeview 5-4, RRC/WWG beat Murray County Central 6-3, and R-T-R topped Edgerton/Southwest Christian 3-2.

Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove will play Adrian/Ellsworth at 5 p.m. at Lamberton Tuesday in the winners bracket. Wabasso will play R-T-R at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the losers bracket.
South Section 3AA
In first-round South Section 3AA competition, top-seeded Luverne had a bye, Pipestone Area (4) defeated Windom Area (5) 4-1, Fairmont (2) beat Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (7), and Jackson County Central (3) topped St. James Area (6) 9-3.
In second-round games, Luverne outplayed Pipestone Area 7-4 and Fairmont blanked JCC 10-0.
Luverne will host Fairmont on Tuesday in a 5 p.m. winners bracket game. In the losers bracket, Pipestone Area goes against JCC in Luverne at 7 p.m.
Section 2A
Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda, the ninth seed in Section 2A, defeated eighth-seeded Cleveland in an opening game on Saturday. Top-seeded BOLD will host the Coyotes on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
