WINDOM -- Adrian’s Alex Loosbrock was unhittable on Tuesday, as he threw a no-hitter in the Dragons’ 1-0 walk-off victory over Murray County Central in a Section 3A loser’s bracket game in Windom.
Loosbrock struck out 10 batters in seven innings while earning the win, and was 2-for-3 at the plate.
MCC’s Brady Kremer was no slouch himself as he allowed one run on five hits and struck out four. He held the Dragons scoreless for six-and two-thirds innings, but clutch hitting by Adrian’s Zach Hendel broke up the shutout.
With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Hendel drove a liner into the gap in left centerfield to drive in Ryan Wieneke and win the game. Wieneke was running for pinch hitter Brent Hokeness who walked with two outs. Loosbrock singled and drove Wieneke to third.
Hendel was 1-for-2 in the game, while Jake Stamer was 1-for-3 and Landon Rogers was 1-for-3.
Adrian advances to the next round in the loser’s bracket of the double-elimination tournament and will face Central Minnesota Christian on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Milroy.
