GRANITE FALLS -- With a Section 3AA tournament game between Jackson County Central and New London-Spicer tied 1-1 in the fourth inning, Keegan Klontz scored on an error to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead. But it wouldn’t stand as NL-S tied the game in the fifth and scored three in the seventh to win the game 5-2.
Derek Dolezal, Matt Spaulding and Paxton Nelson all scored for the Wildcats in the final inning.
Klontz was 2-for-2 with a run for JCC, while Ryan Christopher was 1-for-3 with a third-inning double that drove in Zach Neal.
Christopher struck out 13 batters and allowed three hits with one earned run in the loss.
JCC moves into the loser’s bracket final where it will meet Luverne on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Windom. The winner of that game will face NL-S in the section final on Thursday.
