Send-off, with fan bus for Worthington in state boys soccer tournament

WORTHINGTON — A fan bus will be departing Worthington on Wednesday for the Minnesota state Class AA boys soccer tournament.
The Worthington Trojans will open state tournament competition in a 7:30 p.m. Wednesday game in Farmington against Richfield.
A fan bus will leave the WHS student parking lot at 3:30 p.m. Seats are $10, and the deadline to sign up in the high school's main office is 4 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 25). All students grades K-8 must have an adult with them for supervision.

Participating teams are Becker, Benson, Big Lake, Byron, Detroit Lakes, Mankato West, Melrose, New London-Spicer, St. Peter, and Worthington.

State ticket prices for quarterfinal games are $12 for adults and $8 for students. All tickets must be purchased online at Tickets may not be purchased at the gate.
Worthington will have a send-off for the team at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday in the high school gymnasium. The boys' team bus will parade by the middle school, learning center, intermediate and Prairie Elementary schools at approximately 2:30 p.m.
