WORTHINGTON -- Getting good pitching performances and exploding for 28 combined runs, the Round Lake/Worthington 18's fast-pitch softball team earned a sweep of Fairmont Thursday night.
In Game 1, RL/W won 15-0 before earning a 13-4 victory in the nightcap.
Angela Robinson didn't allow a run on two hits while striking out three in three innings in the first game.
In Game 2, Christine Kazemba (two innings, one strikeout) and Erin Ebbers (two innings, one strikeout) combined to allow four runs in four innings.
LoRel Christensen was 3-for-3 in Game 1, while KC Riley was 2-for-2 and drove in a run. Whitney Prins had a hit and drove in a run, while Katherine Kazemba was 1-for-1 with two RBIs.

Christine Kazemba was 1-for-1 in the game as RL/W scored eight times in the first and seven run in the second.
Christensen was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Kayla Lonneman was 2-for-3 with a double in Game 2.
Jenny Majerus was 2-for-3, while Christine Kazemba was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Katherine Kazemba was 1-for-1 with a triple, while Ebbers, Robinson and Rebecca Kazemba each had a base hit.
RL/W (4-4) will host Martin County West Tuesday.
