Prep Bowl moved to December
High school football fans will have to wait another week to see who will be crowned the 2022 Minnesota state champions. The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL), in discussions with the Minnesota Football Coaches Association, has moved the Prep Bowl back one week to Dec. 2 and 3 at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
Typically, Prep Bowl games are played over the Thanksgiving weekend. But this year, the Minnesota Vikings have a Nov. 24 game scheduled against the New England Patriots.
High school state tournament semifinal games are scheduled for Nov. 17-19 at U.S. Bank Stadium. The start of practice for Minnesota high school football teams is Aug. 15.
