Voss jersey retired at DWU
MITCHELL, S.D. -- Former Worthington High School basketball standout Jalen Voss was honored last weekend at the Hoop City Classic in Mitchell by having his No. 0 retired by Dakota Wesleyan University.
Voss, who ended his WHS career among the top four all-time in both scoring and rebounding, played 124 games at DWU and scored 2,059 points with 897 rebounds. He was a three-time All-American and helped the Tigers qualify for the national NAIA Division II tournament.
Voss is the assistant men’s basketball coach at Minnesota-Morris.
Other DWU players to have their numbers retired include Alan Miller, Scott Morgan, Greg Hansen, Brady Wiebe, Randy Fletcher and Glenn Draisey.
Bethany game at West postponed
WORTHINGTON -- Monday night’s home women’s basketball game with Bethany JV was postponed Monday afternoon due to difficult road conditions.

The game will be made up at a later date, said Lady Jays head coach Rosalie Hayenga-Hostikka.
The next scheduled game for Minnesota West basketball teams is Friday against Central Lakes in Brainerd. The women play at 5 p.m. and the men follow at 7 p.m.
The Lady Jays are 5-6 on the season with a four-game winning streak. The men are 7-1.
