WORTHINGTON — Worthington High School announced postponements and cancellations due to spring weather this week. All baseball, softball, tennis, golf and track and field events scheduled for Thursday, April 20, have been moved.
A boys and girls golf meet scheduled for Thursday at Pipestone has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. The Trojans’ baseball game with Fairmont has been rescheduled for a home doubleheader for Tuesday, May 9.
The scheduled home softball game between Worthington and Fairmont will also be rescheduled for Tuesday, May 9, for a doubleheader in Fairmont. The WHS boys tennis match with Pipestone Area will be rescheduled for Friday, May 5, at the Worthington Middle School courts.
WMS softball and baseball games with Luverne have been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 2. A middle school track and field meet in Pipestone has been canceled. A middle school boys and girls golf meet scheduled for Friday at Fairmont has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
The boys golf invitational tournament at GreatLIFE in Worthington for Saturday has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. The Worthington Trojans softball team will move their scheduled doubleheader with Waseca from Saturday to Monday. The first game will be played at 4 p.m. and the second game will follow.

Area athletics from Red Rock Conference and Big South Conference schools have also postponed events.
Baseball games between Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove at Adrian, Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey at Murray County Central and Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian at Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda have all been moved from their Thursday start date.
