CHASKA -- Mayer Lutheran defeated Adrian 2-1 on Thursday in the first round of the Class A baseball tournament.
Adam Diekmann took the loss on the mound, his first of the year.
Diekmann was called out sliding into home for what would have been the tying run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Dragons (23-3) play Minnesota Valley Lutheran this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. for a consolation bracket matchup.
