MINNEAPOLIS -- Jackson County Central senior Brooklyn Schuett placed 13th overall in the floor exercise Saturday in the Minnesota Class A individual gymnastics tournament.
Schuett scored a 9.425 on her routine at Maturi Pavilion on the campus of the University of Minnesota on a day where a major snowstorm was predicted for the Twin Cities area.
JCC brought three competitors to the individual and all-around state competition. Senior Abby Schneekloth and junior Hailey Handevidt performed alongside Schuett. Worthington, which represented Section 3A at the state team tournament on Friday, were represented Saturday by senior Maria Contreras, junior Taylor Eggers and eighth-grader Abby Bristow.
Schuett totaled 34.625 in the all-around, which placed her 23rd. She had a 9.325 on vault, 7.525 on the uneven parallel bars, an 8.350 on balance beam and a 9.425 on the floor exercise.
Schneekloth placed 21st in the all-around. And Eggers was 22nd.

Schneekloth had a 34.825 altogether, with 8.775 on vault, 8.475 on bars, 8.450 on beam and 9.125 on floor.
Eggers scored a 9.325 on vault, 8.1 on bars, 8.675 on beam and 8.650 on floor for a 34.750 total.
Contreras finished her high school career on Saturday by garnering an 8.350 on bars and an 8.075 on beam. Bristow, competing in the floor exercise, was credited with an 8.900.
Handevidt had a 9.0125 on vault and an 8.175 on beam.
Detroit Lakes, which won the Class A team competition on Friday, had two individual champions on Saturday. Cora Okeson won the floor exercise with a 9.6625 score, and Peyton Jernberg won the beam event with a 9.525. Jennifer Boyle of Austin was first on bars with a 9.7 and Greta Klaphake of Melrose Area was first on vault with a 9.7375.
Aliah Williams of Chisago Lakes was first among the 24 competitors in the all-around, with a 38.2625.
