OCHEYEDAN, Iowa -- Ocheyedan's Days of Olde celebration returns this weekend with all the "Olde" favorites like the quilt show and tractor pulls. Organizers are also bringing back another event.

"We're having a street dance, and we haven't had one of those in a long time," said Laura Vandermeulen, secretary-treasurer of the Community Builders, which helps organize the festivities.

"We'll have the quilt show for women; that always goes over well," she continued. "And the pedal pull for the kids, the kids enjoy that."

Vandermeulen is hoping for a good turnout -- and for the cooperation of Mother Nature.

"There's always plenty of food and fun and friendly people," she said. "It's a friendly town."
