WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Stingrays swim team is loading up on state meet qualifiers.

The local swimmers enjoyed a solid showing Saturday in the southwest Minnesota sectional meet in Austin as five competitors turned in personal best times in all of their individual events. Selma Almodovar (age 11), Cristina Magana (12), Coyer Robinson (9), Neveah Schreiber (14) and Liv VanderKooi (8) all achieved personal records across the board.

The Minnesota state meet is Feb. 19 at the University of Minnesota.

Two senior Stingrays -- Nathan Johnson and Madison Neuberger -- are practicing for their final state meet. Here are all the Stingrays who have qualified for the 2017 state competition:
