Thursday volleyball: Luverne trips W-WG

The Luverne Cardinals high school volleyball team downed non-conference opponent Westbrook-Walnut Grove in four sets Thursday night, 16-25, 25-15, 25-16 and 26-24.

WESTBROOK -- The Luverne Cardinals high school volleyball team downed non-conference opponent Westbrook-Walnut Grove in four sets Thursday night, 16-25, 25-15, 25-16 and 26-24.

For W-WG, Kelsey DeSmith and Natalie Wahl finished with 11 and 8 kills, respectively. DeSmith also had 12 digs and Addeson Jenniges had 20 assists. Olivia Anderson had three solo blocks.

Jenniges was 16-for-16 serving with two aces and DeSmith was 15-for-16 with three aces.

Remsen St. Mary's 3, H-LP 0

LAKE PARK, Iowa -- Remsen St. Mary's rolled past host Harris-Lake Park 25-16, 25-16 and 25-13 in an Iowa high school volleyball match.

Zella Ingham had six kills and 11 digs for H-LP. Ava Rasche and Tessa Gunderson both had 10 digs.
