WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington High School gymnastics team scored 139.275 points Tuesday in a home meet against Jackson County Central, which scored 129.575.
Hali Bullerman won two individual events for WHS, the vault (9.375) and the floor exercise (9.1). Teammate Gracia Elias won on the uneven parallel bars with an 8.7. And Jackson County Central's Peyton Benda was a winner on the balance beam with a 9.125.
Elias was second on vault (9.075) and Trojan Mekyla Nystrom was third (9.025). Bullerman was second on the bars (8.45) and Nystrom was third (8.35). Bullerman also got a second place on beam (8.975) while Nystrom was third with 8.9. On the floor exercise, Nystrom was second (9.075) and teammate Abby Bristow was third (8.975).
Bullerman, Nystrom and Elias placed 1-2-3 in the all-around with scores of 35.9, 35.35 and 33.675.
Worthington outscored JCC 131.4 to 112.65 in the junior varsity meet. Individual winners were Trojans Bryn Donkersloot and Bristow in the vault (8.65), Ivy Jenson and Kenadie Thiner on the bars (7.0), and Jenson on the beam (8.95) and floor (9.1). Donkersloot won the all-around with a 31.9 total.
