LAMBERTON -- The Trojans volleyball team fell to the Red Rock Central Falcons Monday night in Lamberton.
"RRC set the ball up better than we did," Trojans coach Melissa Schutz. "They also were a good serving team the whole game."
In the first game, Worthington kept it close but could not hold off the RRC offense. The Falcons picked up the 25-20 win, taking a 1-0 game lead heading into Game 2.
The second game didn't go quite as well for the Trojans as the first did, with the Falcons claiming a double-digit win, 25-15.
The last game also went to RRC, but Worthington was able to keep it close once again before finally losing 25-21. The Falcons completed the sweep behind solid defense and a good offensive balance between all the players on the floor.

Katie Larsen was 19-for-20 on the serve with two aces for the Falcons, while Mikaela Smith was a perfect 13-for-13 with 11 set assists. Tegan Derickson picked up nine set assists along with eight kills to go along with 12 kills by Fern Engen.
Chloe Arfsten added another six kills for the Falcons, while picking up 20 digs. Cassandra Erickson rounded out RRC's defense with 10 digs and three blocks.
Becca Linder was perfect on the serve, going 11-for-11 with one ace, while Brooke Henning (12-for-13) led the team in kills with 11 for the Trojans. K.C Riley went 11-for-12 on the serve with Paige Gravenhof picking up 14 set assists.
Morgan Harberts was second in the game with seven set assists, while Tara Savalland had six kills and Morgan Johnson had four kills. Libero Anna Koepsell picked up 18 digs on the night, with Paige Kinley grabbing eight digs of her own.
The Falcons (1-3) travel to Slayton Thursday to face Red Rock Conference rival Murray County Central at 5 p.m.
The Trojans next game is Thursday against Redwood Valley in Redwood Falls at 5 p.m.
Windom sweeps St. James
ST. JAMES -- The Windom Eagles moved to 8-1 on the season after a sweep of St. James Monday night.

The Eagles won the first game 25-8 with a dominating offensive performance. Game 2 was closer than the first, but Windom still had no trouble putting away St. James, winning 25-19. In Game 3, the Eagles once again took control, beating St. James 25-5.
Windom's Angela Peterson (21-for-21) and Shelby Mattson (15-for-15) were both perfect from the sever line, with Peterson picking up seven aces and Mattson shelling out four of her own. Mattson also had 14 set assists with Peterson picking up nine of her own.
Holly Larson led the team with six kills, while Hali Tasler had five kills and nine digs for the Eagles. Jasmine Carlson led the team in digs with 12.
Windom travels to Luverne for a 7:30 p.m. match on Thursady.
W-WG beats Springfield
SPRINGFIELD -- The Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers took down Springfield in five sets to move to 8-1 on the season.
The Chargers won the first set 25-22, but lost the next two 18-25, 22-25. But W-WG picked it up and took the last two games to grab the win.
Abby Herding (30-for-30, 41 set assists) and Paige Erickson (21-for-21, 18 digs) didn't miss on the serve, with Herding picking up one ace on the night for the Chargers. Dayna Comnick was 16-for-17 on the serve with an ace, 10 kills and 16 digs, while Erickson had a team leading 18 kills in the game.

Hailey Osland had 15 kills for the Chargers with Madison Takle, Kelsi Wahl and Osland picking up three block a piece.
The Chargers travel to Hills to take on Hills-Beaver Creek Thursday before heading to the Jackson Tournament Saturday.
