PIPESTONE -- Worthington scored eight runs on five hits as Post 3958 defeated Pipestone 8-3 in a VFW baseball game Tuesday night.
Jon Reller earned the victory on the hill, allowing no runs on three hits while walking five and striking out 12 in five innings.
Tyler Hatterman threw the final two frames, allowing three runs on four hits while walking five and striking out two.
At the plate, Hatterman was 2-for-4 with a double and scored two runs.
Reller was 2-for-4, scored a run and drove in two, while Deron Soderholm was 1-for-2 with two RBIs.

Blake Rogers drew two walks and scored twice.
Worthington (17-7, 9-1), which scored four runs in the seventh inning will host Adrian on Thursday.

Red earns 10-run victory
With a solid team effort at the plate, the Worthington Red VFW team defeated Pipestone 13-3 Tuesday night.
Worthington pounded out 12 hits in four innings of play, with every player scoring at least one run.

Rylan Scholtes was 4-for-4 with a double, three singles and three RBIs, while Turner Hagen had a pair of singles and a double.
Alex Purdy was 2-for-3 with two singles for Worthington.
Ryan Lee earned the victory on the hill, allowing three runs in four innings.
