FULDA - Senior outside hitter Kelsey Hanefeld led the Windom Area Eagles volleyball team at the service line and at the net Monday in a 3-0 victory over host Fulda.
Hanefeld was 13-for-13 serving with three aces as the Eagles defeated the Raiders 25-14, 25-12, 25-12. She also led her team with nine kills.
Miki Bolin put 15 of 18 serves in play for two aces to aid Windom Area’s effort. Rachel Sorensen and Porsha Porath had seven and six kills, respectively.
Bolin had 21 set assists and Jasmine Carlson had 13 digs.
For Fulda, Dani Hermeling had 10 service aces and 14 digs. Ruth Cheadle had seven serve aces. Alli Vanden Bosch was credited with four kills and Randi Tiesler had 12 set assists.
Caitlin Strenge led the Raiders with 19 digs, Courtney Tiesler had 12.
Luverne 3, Ellsworth 0
ELLSWORTH - Ashley Olson’s setting and serving, and Amanda Barnharts’ blocking, helped visiting Luverne to a quick night’s work against Ellsworth. Scores were 25-11, 25-19 and 25-11.
Olson, a senior setter, was 10-for-11 serving with three aces for the match. She also was 27-for-30 setting with 10 assists.
Barnhart had 10 blocks, while teammates Jada Hoven and Paige Baker both added three. Ellen Dahl was 12-for-13 serving with three aces.
Baker had five kills and Lexi Rust four. Erica DeBoer had 16 digs and Rust 12.
Luverne is 6-4-2 on the season.
JCC 3, Spirit Lake 0
SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa -Visiting Jackson County Central made short work of Spirit Lake, winning on scores of 27-25, 25-11 and 25-12.
Kaylee Burmeister had 16 kills for the Huskies while teammates Kenna Bannister and Sydney Eddy added 11 and eight, respectively. Bannister was 13-for-14 serving with two aces. Kathryn Nasby was 21-for-22 serving and Sydney Nyborg was 8-for-8 serving with two aces.
Rachel Johnson had 19 set assists for JCC and Shelby Benson added 17. Nasby led the Huskies with 12 digs.
Sibley-O Tourney
SIBLEY, Iowa - Boyden-Hull won the Sibley-Ocheyedan Tournament Monday.
Harris-Lake Park won two out of three matches. The Wolves beat Okoboji 21-9 and 21-13, beat St. Mary’s Remsen 21-13, 21-12 and lost to Boyden-Hull 21-17, 15-21, 11-15.
Grace Winters led H-LP in serving with 19 points and Megan Garms had 18. Noreen Morrow had 53 kills, Miranda Brueggeman 33 and Kathrine Ihnen 27. Macy Gunderson contributed 49 set assists.
Host Sibley-Ocheyedan won two of three matches, beating Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire 21-7, 21-0, beating Okoboji 21-19, 21-16 and losing to Boyden-Hull 21-18, 14-21, 17-19.
Kaylee White had 54 set assists for the Generals. Bridget Doeden had 15 kills and Alyssa Stofferan 12. Kayla Ackerman enjoyed a strong serving night and Michaela Wolter had 19 digs.
Springfield 3, MLA 1
SPRINGFIELD - Host Springfield defeated Mountain Lake Area 25-10, 21-25, 25-14 and 25-17.
Rachel Dukes had 11 set assists and six kills for MLA and teammate Jordan Syverson added nine kills. Signey Stoesz had 17 set assists and was 18-for-18 serving with two aces. Carmen Syverson added eight kills and Mikayla Falk had 29 digs.
