BREWSTER -- The Madelia/Truman Jayhawks used a 10-run fourth inning to come away with a 21-0 victory over Southwest United in a non-conference softball matchup Monday.
Callie Wiederhoeft earned the victory for M/T, throwing two innings, allowing no hits and striking out every batter she faced.
At the plate, Wiederhoeft had two hits, while Shelby Wiederhoeft also had a pair of hits, including a triple.
Becca Hintz was 3-for-5 with a home run, while Allison Hintz also had three hits and rove in four runs.
Christine Kazemba suffered the loss for the Wildcats (0-1), allowing 12 hits and walking 11.

Erin Liepold drew two walks for SWU, which had five starters playing in their first varsity game.
The Wildcats will host Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove Thursday in a Red Rock Conference matchup.
