Otto Burkhardt was headmaster of the Albert Schweitzer Gymnasium in 1980, when Worthington and Crailsheim conducted its first choir exchange. Those exchanges were the start of what has now become a regular schedule of visits between the two cities. Burkhardt is shown with Crailsheim yearbooks sharing news of the choir exchanges, as well as a wooden figure handmade by former Worthington Mayor Bob Demuth and presented to Burkhardt years ago.(Julie Buntjer / The Globe)
