Wilmont Fire Chief Steve Joens (left) accepts a $3,000 grant from Scott Nordby of Compeer Financial Tuesday afternoon. The fire department will use the money to replace pagers, purchase two-way radio batteries and new turnout gear, primarily new gloves for firefighters. Scott Nordby of Compeer Financial presents a $3,000 county fair upgrade grant to Katie Klosterbuer, Nobles County 4-H Program Coordinator, for improvements to the Nobles County Fairgrounds. They are surrounded by Nobles County 4-H'ers and adult volunteers.
