Pat and Kristine Smith, Worthington, and Kelly Frericks, Lakefield, announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyssa Sue Smith, to Patrick "Tony" Anthony Thier, son of Pat and Patty Thier, Adrian.
Smith is a graduate of Worthington High School. She is pursuing a nursing degree at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington campus, and is employed at the Ground Round, Worthington.
Thier is also a graduate of Worthington Senior High School and attended Minnesota West Community and Technical College. He is employed by Kempema Construction.
They plan a Sept. 8 wedding.
