LEWIS AND CLARK REGIONAL WATER SYSTEM

Schomacker has signed onto a bipartisan proposal to leverage federal dollars to help replace lead water pipes throughout the state.
“This critically needed funding will be used to cover the remaining costs of four projects currently under construction that were planned to be paid for over two fiscal years.”
It is anticipated Sheldon, Iowa, will begin receiving water by early 2024, mid-to-late 2024 for Madison and early 2025 for Sibley, Iowa.
Appropriation will fund the remaining 32 miles of pipeline for the project.
