WINDOM -- The Hadley Buttermakers defeated the Windom Pirates 6-1 in Windom Wednesday night in the first game of a best-of-three amateur baseball series. The victory in the Region 13C third-place series moves Hadley within one win of qualifying for the state tournament. Game Two is Saturday in Hadley, beginning at 2 p.m. If a Game Three is needed, it will be in Hadley at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
